Private Papers
A newspaper keeps some papers in a locked drawer. These are yours. Here is what the drawer holds, what for, and how you take it back.
What we keep
- Account: your email, a hashed password, the first name you chose, a date of birth, your gender, and whatever you type into your author desk.
- Your chapters and the notes each writer keeps about you.
- A session cookie, plus a second cookie recording that you passed the age gate.
- Payment trail: the sum paid and a reference for the transfer. We take no cards, so there is no card number anywhere in the building.
- Routine server logs, held briefly for security.
What we use it for
Chats are processed to produce the writers' replies and to catch breaches of the rules. The model doing the writing runs on infrastructure we control or on a provider contracted for that purpose alone. We do not sell chapters, and no advertiser ever reads one.
Counting readers
A plain analytics counter notes how many readers arrived and which region they hail from. A chapter is out of its reach.
Taking papers back
Every chapter's menu lets you read and rewrite her notes, download the whole exchange, or clear it. If you want the account and everything attached to it erased, email the editor from the address you registered. If the law of your country grants you further rights, quote them and we will respect them.
